THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS

For the stimulation of parturition when the birth strains are weak (only when the cervix is open); in uterine atonia following delivery or Caesarian section; for preventing the retention of parts of the placenta and amniotic fluids; in pyometrea; in uterine hemorrhage; to precipitate labor in late childbirth together with estrogens; in intestine and urinary bladder atony; in hipogalactia and milk retention; in mastitis (for removing milk and inflammatory secretions before administration of mammary preparations).
